EXJECTION represents a cutting-edge injection molding technique that allows for the production of continuous components. By employing a modular mold cavity, this process enables seamless injection, cooling, and demolding of the component. Notable benefits of EXJECTION include enhanced productivity, reduced energy expenses, and a vast array of material choices.

Innovation instead of Redesign

The basic idea of Exjection is the production of "profile-like" components (strips) on an injection molding machine. Hence the characteristics of the component Exjection arise in which this technology brings in significant advance:

  • with the possibility to create basically straight part a continuous linear connection
  • Component length >> component cross-section
  • End caps, snap hooks, ribs or similar elements formable
  • Component is demouldable (usually normal to the component's longitudinal axis)
  • (Visible) surfaces with 3D structures and / or functional elements

What materials are usable?

Since the method seen from the process here is very close to the conventional injection molding process, it is very easy and briefly summarized: Everything is processed in an injection molding machine, can generally be used also for the Exjection process. Three points should be noted:

  • More viscous materials (extrusion grades) have a wider process window for Exjection on
  • The well-known guidelines for component design naturally also apply to the process Exjection
  • Material Type and component wall thickness determine the carriage speed and thus the cycle time

Previously successfully tested with the research form with EXJECTION® a wide range of materials. Examples are:

ABS LURAN S PP-M20
ASA MAKROLON PPSU
BEGRA NOVODUR PVC
CELANEX PA6 RADEL
DAPLEN PA66 GF30 SAN
DELRIN PBT SANTOPRENE
Duales System PC SURLYN
ECOPUR PC/ASA TERLURAN
FACTOR PP GF PE-HD Recycling THERMOLAST
GELOY PEEK TPE
GRILON PEI TPU
HOSTAFORM PLEXIGLAS TYRIL
IONOMER PMMA ULTEM
LEXAN POM ULTRAMID
LURAN PP-LGF VICTREXTPE

Composite: WOOD + ABS

  • A composite material made of wood and ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene).
  • Combines special properties of both materials

Composite: CFK + ASA

  • A composite material made of CFK (carbon fibre reinforced plastic) and ASA (acrylonitrile styrene acrylate).
  • Combines the strength and rigidity of CFK with the properties of ASA

Inmould: FOLIE + SAN

  • A process in which a film is injected together with SAN (styrene acrylonitrile) in a mould.
  • The film fuses with SAN and forms a decorative or functional layer on the component.
